In March, we added private holdings, expanded our manager docs capabilities, refreshed manager views, and continued to add powerful new data to both manager and allocator search.
MCP - Beta Users Welcome
Our MCP beta, which lets you connect AI assistants like Claude directly to OWL's data, is growing. If you're already using Claude and want the ability to ask questions against live OWL data without leaving your AI workflow, reach out and we'll get you set up.

Private Holdings
OWL has always had the most comprehensive database of public positions across more than 50 countries, and in March we added private positions. These holdings show up in three ways on the OWL platform:
Positions Page - Private positions are now live under the positions section of each manager's profile. This view surfaces a manager's known private company investments, including stage, industry, and date of last participation, which is a quick way to understand a manager's venture or growth activity alongside their public holdings. This view also shows which other firms that the manager has overlapped with in private deals.

Private Holdings Events - Private holdings events are now available on both the landing page and manager feeds. When a manager in one of your groups participates in a new private financing round, you'll see it directly in your feed. You can also filter the event feed to show only private holdings events, or search for a specific private company to see which of your managers have invested. Clicking on any event opens a company summary with full funding history, round details, and co-investors.

Private Holdings in Manager Search - We've also enabled private holdings filters in manager search, making it easy to filter managers by their private investment activity. A few examples of questions you can now answer with OWL’s manager search:
- I'm going to Boston and want to find all pre-seed or seed investors near my hotel.
- I want to see which NYC based hedge funds have invested in Anthropic.
- I want to see which sub-$1B emerging managers have invested in a company that Altimeter also invested in.
Data Room
In January, we launched Manager Documents - a library of publicly available materials including manager letters and research reports on each manager's summary page. In February, we added document alerts to the newsfeed. In March, we expanded the manager documents capability such that every manager page now has a full Documents tab vs. just a highlighted document on the summary page.
For managers with multiple documents, LPs will see the full document history including letters, reports, and other materials.

For managers without documents on file, there's a one-click button for LPs to request them – please use this tool to request docs from managers in your portfolio or on your research list!
Manager Views Refresh
Return Estimate Analytics
We consolidated several of our manager analytics (P&L by position, sizing skill, etc.) views under a new Return Estimates tab on each manager page. The result is a cleaner, faster experience when navigating a manager's public portfolio analytics.

Manager Feeds
We also added a manager specific feed to aggregate a manager’s recent events. In that feed, you can see any recent events tagged to the manager including position changes, news, team changes, and LP holdings updates.

Manager and Allocator Search Updates
Refreshed Filters in Manager & Allocator Seach: We updated filters in our manager search tool with an improved layout, better organized into groups with descriptions of each filter for ease of use. As a reminder, any filtered search can be saved, allowing the user to revisit it over time.

New Search Filters
We also added new columns to the manager search, giving users the ability to filter managers who are recent or first-time filers of ADVs, 13Fs, or Form Ds. A few examples of specific searches:
- All biotech managers who just filed their first 13F during the latest batch of 13Fs.
- All Boston-based managers who just filed their first ADV in the past few months.
- Al managers under $100mm AUM who disclosed a capital raise in the past 7 days.
Additionally, two pre-built saved searches showcase these filters: New 13F Filers and New ADV Filers.
We enabled several new GP-focused filters in allocator search: Allocation Preference, Disclosed Managers (by count), Disclosed Managers (by name), and LP Co-investors. These make it easier for GPs to find relevant LPs. A few examples:
- I'm a biotech GP — show me LPs invested in other biotech managers.
- I’m traveling to Chicago – show me nearby LPs.
- I want to see what other LPs have invested in the same managers as Yale.
Two pre-built saved searches showcase these specific filters: Biotech LPs and Chicago Allocators.
We’re excited about our upcoming roadmap – as always, if you have feedback or ideas, please reach out.
